Summary

Since unlocking Megabonk’s weapon, the Sword of Heroes, is a bit of a quirk, I would like to share with you the way I practiced it.

Conditions for unlocking the Sword of Heroes

Beat the stage boss without taking any items or power-ups and without using the altar.

It’s pretty peculiar like this.

Terms

  • All altars and NPCs on the map are NG.
  • Picking up items and treasure chests is also not allowed.
  • Vases are allowed to be broken.

The conditions are like this. I have not verified it in detail, but I think the conditions are like this. It is not very difficult, so I think you should do it without touching or taking anything for now and have it cleared. It is OK to break the jars, but be careful because they sometimes contain recovery items.

Destination

  • Stage: Forest 1 tier
  • Challenge: Trees and Stones (*1)

The destination can be forest tier 1. The desert is difficult, so I recommend the forest. I noticed later that if you turn on the challenge “Wood and Stone”, the treasure chest will not appear, so it is easier to get it by mistake and not fail the challenge.

Clear data

I did a second round under the same conditions. Turning on the challenge “Wood and Stone” is slightly stress free because the treasure chests are not boiling.

I summoned the boss with 3 minutes and 30 seconds left and this is how much poison I get.

Poison flasks in action

  • Character: Amog
  • Incentive Weapon: A strong one from the beginning
  • Incentive Tome 1: Quanti
  • Incentive Tome 2: Blood

The character was chosen to be “amog”, which can use the poison flask from the beginning. The reason is that poison scales easily. Usually I rarely use it, but with no items or enhancements, it is difficult to scale. it is easy to imagine because the item: cheese is strong in the first layer.

Poison Flask: Throw a poison flask at an enemy, dealing ranged damage and poison damage!

Cheese: Poisoning the enemy with probability on hit

For tomes, we recommend quantitatively tomes, which increase the number of bullets, and blood tomes, which impart bloodsucking.

Quantitati Tome: more attacks and bullets.

This tome is personally underrated, but is very strong in the first layer. It works well with Poison Flask, and the poison damage overlaps, making it effective against elites and bosses.

Blood Tome: Increases the chance of recovery when attacking an enemy.

Blood Tome is also recommended. You can’t take items, so the Blood Tome is basically the only means of recovery. I also considered Vlad, a character whose passive blood absorption is increased, but it is quicker to solve the problem with a tome and the absorption percentage is higher.

Casual weapons are recommended.

For weapons, I recommend casual weapons. Do not use dice, blood magic, black holes, axes, etc., which will eventually become stronger, as they are weak in the beginning.

Aura: Damage to surrounding enemies

Thunderbolt wand: summons lightning to attack nearby enemies

Revolver: fires multiple bullets at the enemy

Wireless Dagger: Throw smart daggers at your enemies! The latest wireless technology explodes!

The four recommendations that come to mind quickly are the above. They all hit multiple enemies and are good at group fights. Without items, group fights and enemy rushes are quite hard.

Tome is also a casual type

You don’t have to be particular about the tome, but the following tome is recommended. The reason you don’t have to stick with it is that it is only a few levels up.

Cooldown Tome: Increased attack frequency

Size Tome: extended attack range

Precision Tome: Increased critical rate
