Overview

Duckov lets you choose a profession. Each profession has its own characteristics, so use this as a reference when you’re unsure which one to pick.

What is a profession?

Classes are abilities unlocked by completing quests. Each class determines which stats increase and which decrease.

※You can freely choose your class again and again at no cost, so feel free to experiment.

How to Change Your Occupation

Your profession can be changed from the small room northwest of the banker.

Corporate Duck

  • Initial Occupation
  • No status changes

It’s a rather unremarkable profession. If you find yourself thinking “None of these are quite right,” just come back to this one.

Liberation Method

It has been liberated from the beginning.

Recommended: Marksman

  • Max HP: -17.5%
  • Firearm Damage Multiplier: +15%
  • Range Coefficient: +15%
  • Recoil Control: +0.1

From the mid-game onward, I recommend choosing this class. While the significant HP reduction is a drawback, it boosts three firearm stats, making it quite powerful.

If you feel uneasy about your HP on high-difficulty maps, switch back to the Salaryman Duck.

How to Unlock Marksman

  • Armor Shop: Advance the Orange Quest
  • Quest: “Official Sniper”

Progress through the Armor Shop’s Orange quests, and it will unlock upon clearing “Official Sniper.” Prerequisite quests include “Sniper Primer” and others; there are several quests in total.

Recommended: Porter

  • Max HP: -15%
  • Max Weight: +10
  • Backpack Capacity: +5
  • Dash Sound Range: -20%

The second recommended option is the Porter. The Porter increases your carry weight and backpack capacity, allowing you to bring back many items during exploration. It also reduces your dash sound range, making it harder for enemies to notice you.

However, note that it lowers HP, a combat-related stat. It’s useful for exploring maps you’ve already cleared or for money-making runs. It’s especially handy when you don’t have a large backpack equipped.

How to Release the Porter

  • Armor Shop: Advance the Orange Quest
  • Quest “Official Delivery Agent” Cleared

Progress through the Orange quests, and clearing “Official Delivery Agent” will unlock it. Prerequisite quests include “Trainee Delivery Agent” and several others.

Survivor

  • Max HP: +5
  • Body Armor: +1
  • Head Armor: +1
  • Walking Speed: +0.5
  • Dash Speed: -0.5

This survivor boosts HP and defense. While it makes you more resilient to damage, its major drawback is slower movement speed, making escape difficult.

In boss fights, the slower speed makes evasion harder, so in some situations, the Salaryman Duck might actually have higher survivability than this survivor.

How to Unlock Survivors

  • Training Room: Advance Mad’s Quest
  • Quest “Resistance Against the Storm” Cleared

Unlocked upon completing the quest “Resisting the Storm.”

Berserker

  • Max HP: +7
  • Activation Ability: +10%
  • Melee Damage Multiplier: +25%
  • Firearm Damage Multiplier: -25%
  • Dash Sound Range: +25%

If you’re using melee weapons, Berserker is the only choice. Melee attacks make you vulnerable to incoming damage, so it’s quite advanced. There are also quests like “Defeat enemies with melee weapons,” so it’s effective for those specific situations.

How to Unlock Berserker

  • Training Room: Advance Mad’s Quest
  • Quest “Combat” Cleared

This quest is unlocked upon clearing the “Combat” quest. Prerequisite quests include “Drug Experimentation” and others.

おすすめランキング

  1. Marksman
  2. Porter
  3. Corporate Duck
  4. Survivor
  5. Berserker

Personally, if I were to rank them, this is how I’d order them. Since professions have their downsides, the initial “corporate slave duck” is actually pretty useful in the end.
